Automation Engineer (SAP/S4 Hana, Worksoft)

For the majority of the mid-small range companies, we are exclusively used due to our outstanding staffing track record Summary This individual will be responsible for defining and enhancing test automation framework for SAP/S4 HANA, test cases and script development, test execution and test result reporting for each new feature assigned to them.

The Automation Engineer is responsible for identifying regression and progression cases for automation, maintain and execute automation scripts release over release.

The Automation Engineer will write test scripts, initiate tests, analyzes results, prepare data, requirements traceability matrix, and report findings to the business and IT teams within designated timelines.

Mentors QA and BA team members on best practices and testing processes.

Responsibilities Perform a range of testing methods such as regression, test automation, Integration, end-to-end and “smoke testing” Define and enhance test automation frameworks Identify potential automation candidates from regression and progression suite Participate in the creation or updating of test scripts (standard and automated) Work with the project team and business representatives to understand the requirements and features to be implemented Identify, document, and track identified defects Provide recommendations for improvements to the testing cycle Keep the QA Manager aware of testing progress and any challenges Design, document, and implement automated tests to support full application regression testing Develop, modify, and execute automated scripts and programs for testing Lead/own QA effort for applications/projects, certifying and signing off on functional/project code releases Track ongoing project/release status/quality and create weekly reports Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software and reporting out on code/release quality Use bug tracking software to record bugs and specific test results Develop and maintain application quality and code quality KPIs Document and maintain lessons learned, testing metrics for sprints and releases Record and document test results and compare to expected results Actively participate in scrums, grooming sessions and sprint retrospectives Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience required in Computer Science or Related Field Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 6 years of experience in testing SAP and its components/modules including the following: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience with SAP test automation using Worksoft automation tool SAP functional knowledge is a plus.

Experience in developing test automation framework(s) for SAP projects/applications Experience with test management/ALM tools such as ALM/QC, Solution Manager, Jira, TestRail, qTest or similar tools Experience working on a global SAP implementation project Experience in Test Planning, execution, defect tracking tool Familiarity with programming languages Working knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases Familiarity with Agile software development processes Effectively communicate with end users to accurately identify and resolve defects/bugs that arise Actively participate on an Agile team testing products with rapidly evolving requirements Excellent written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to communicate with all levels including management and retail partners Ability to fluently read, write and speak both English and Spanish Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to work in a team environment with coworkers and internal customers Working Conditions Office Environment Willing to work some weekends if necessary Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
