Employment Type:Full timeShift:Day ShiftDescription:Trinity Health Of New England is looking for an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) Labor and Delivery Unit at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. The Clinical Manager provides management support to the Director including coordination of staffing, competency assessment of staff, regulatory oversight, fiscal operations, and annual performance appraisal process. Assists the Director with Performance Improvement activities, unit and patient satisfaction issues, and policy development. Must demonstrate the ability to affect positive medical staff relations while working with highly qualified physicians.Requirements:* Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, required.* Registered Nurse: Valid and Unrestricted Connecticut Registered Nurse license.* Experience: 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care environment, including 1-3 years of clinical nursing management experience. Labor and Delivery experience required.* BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.* Ability to pass drug screenings and background checksPreferred Skills and Competencies:* Education: Master of Science in Nursing, or related field is preferred.* Experience: Acute care and Medical-Surgical.* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification: ACLS certification preferred; instructorship certification will be accepted.* Computer literacy, i.e. competent using web-based applications, e-mail, and standard word and data applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).About Trinity Health Of New England:Trinity Health Of New England is an integrated health care delivery system that is comprised of world-class providers and facilities dedicated to full spectrum preventative, acute, and post-acute care.
