Customer Service Representative/Technical Sales Support

Job Description Under the general supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor,Customer Service/Technical Sales Supportinitiates, coordinates, and maintains a flow of materials and information to their respective accounts to ensure the highest levels of customer service.

Each representative is responsible for supporting approximately $15M to $20M in shipments.

Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate the review of direct customer incoming orders in terms of pricing, specifications, account status, shipping requirements, and product availability and ultimately the entry of appropriate orders.

The order review is to be in accordance with ISO 9000 Contract Review procedures.

Order coordination required for branch business in the areas of specifications, product availability, shipping commitments and order entry functions.

Every attempt is made to accommodate ultimate branch customer needs.

Continually review and update supply functions with revised customer demand changes and coordinate new promise dates.

Assess all critical issues, develop appropriate data, and communicate daily with customer branch offices regarding product availability, delivery, order status, and order adjustments.

Generate quotes for customers and field sales personnel.

Generate information personally addressing critical issues for customers or field sales staff.

To ensure ultimate customer satisfaction, communicate customer needs to whatever level of the internal organization necessary purchasing, fabrication, assembly, planning, traffic, distribution, quality.

Expedite and procure work in progress material to enable visibility for satisfying customer demand.

Instruct, assist and train others in the organization as necessary.

Channel RMA requests to the appropriate parties, advise customer of the champions on the corrective actions, initiates, participates in, and follow up on the responses.

Maintains reference files of support systems, procedures, product lists, pricing, and other relevant data to perform the job.

Recommends cross-sell product applications based on particular Customer requirements.

Creates and routes Product Change Requests as needed or necessary.

Generates iProject Requests as needed or necessary.

Creates new Bill of Materials structuring as required.

Participates in and supports Lean Manufacturing activities as needed or necessary.

The Individual Minimum of High school Degree or Equivalent.

Associates or Bachelors Degree equivalent in Materials Management/Business/Sales.

2-4 years related work experience in similar customer service while in manufacturing environment a plus.

Must be computer literate.

Good verbal, written, problem solving and organization skills required.
